Rodgers Intelligence Group, small business website design

Small business website design and website redesign for owners who outgrew their site

Tuesday, 7:20am: a prospect who got your name from a past customer opens your site on their phone and sees a layout that reads years behind the work you do now, then calls the next name on the list. The cost is the jobs you never hear about, including the ones where you were the better fit. Rodgers Intelligence Group rebuilds small business websites for owners who outgrew theirs, delivered remotely across the United States and based in Denver.

What it costs when it slips

What a dated site costs you

  1. The site answers for you while you are out doing the work, and its answer is years out of date.
  2. It names your trade and not the result a customer is buying, so a visitor cannot tell what to do next and there is nobody to ask.
  3. Agencies quote $8,000 to $25,000 and up for a small business site (Studio Mesa, 2026). A freelancer working alone can leave you partway through.

What changes

What changes when the site is rebuilt

A site you are willing to send

The site matches the quality of the work you already do so sending the link costs you nothing.

Words your buyers already type

Page copy uses the phrases people search when they want what you sell instead of your trade's internal words.

A fixed quote before any work

Scope and price are written down before the build starts and they hold after you approve them.

A written definition of done

Six checks are written down before the build starts and run before launch. If one fails, the build is not done. Mike Rodgers, who signs each check, fixes it and runs it again, and the checklist is yours to keep.

What buyers pay today

The line item you already have.

What a small business site costs today: Let's Groto (2026) puts a basic small business redesign at $2,000 and full custom work at $80,000 and above. Most projects start at $5,000. Studio Mesa (2026) puts an agency site for a small business at $8,000 to $25,000 and up. Webnode puts care and hosting at $200 to $1,200 a year. The other route is a freelancer working alone, cheaper and free to stop partway through. And there is the line item you never see: work out your own number as the jobs a dated site loses in a year times what an average job is worth.

The offer

The Website Redesign Sprint

  • Redesign Brief. The free first step. Outcome: you know what reads dated and what to change first. Accepted when you can act on the brief without us.
  • Message Rewrite. Outcome: the pages use the words your buyers search. Accepted when every page answers what a buyer types into a search box.
  • Design System. Outcome: every page reads as one business. Accepted when the layout and the type match across the pages in your quote.
  • Full Build. Outcome: a visitor knows the next step from any page. Accepted when the pages and the form work and you have clicked through them yourself.
  • Launch Checklist. Outcome: done means done. Accepted when all six checks pass before launch and Mike Rodgers signs each one. The checklist is yours to keep.
  • Care Plan (optional). Outcome: changes after launch have a route. Accepted when your change is live on the site.
  • Scope boundary: one sprint covers one website, the pages and the copy named in your quote. The quote names what is out of scope before work starts, so nothing grows after you approve it.
  • One Website Redesign Sprint spine with a configuration per trade: Contractor (service area and past jobs), Clinic (hours and insurance questions), Firm (fees and intake), Shop (catalog and ordering). The parts above run in every trade, and only the job of the site changes.

Quoted before work. Every build is quoted as a fixed fee before the build starts and the quote holds after you approve it.

The quote covers the build and names what is out of scope before work starts. An optional monthly care plan covers changes after launch.

You see the scope and the price in writing and approve them before the build starts. Nothing is billed before that approval. The brief is free and it is yours to keep.

How it works

Three steps, one owner.

01

Send your site

You send the address of the site you have and what the business sells now.

02

Read the redesign brief

The brief names what reads dated and what to change first. It stands on its own so you can hand it to any designer and act on it without us.

03

Approve the quote and we build

The quote is fixed before work starts. Mike Rodgers runs the build and signs off the launch checklist.

See it work

A worked demonstration.

Sample redesign brief for a fictional contractor. The homepage headline names the trade and not the outcome a customer buys. The services page lists eight offers with no price and no next step. The contact form asks for eleven fields. Recommendation: one headline about the outcome. Four service pages. A form that asks three things.

Demonstration, not a client result

Straight answers

What this does and does not promise.

How much does a website redesign cost?
Your build is quoted as a fixed fee in writing before work starts, and the quote holds after you approve it. For the market around you, Let's Groto (2026) puts a basic small business redesign at $2,000 and full custom work at $80,000 and above, with most projects starting at $5,000. Studio Mesa (2026) puts an agency site for a small business at $8,000 to $25,000 and up.
How long does a website redesign take?
The launch date is written into your quote before the build starts, so you know the window before you commit. The scope sets the window, and the scope is written down before any work begins.
What is included, and what is not?
Your quote names both before work starts. The build covers the pages and the copy named in your quote, plus the form and the six launch checks run before the site goes live. Anything outside the quote is named as out of scope before you approve it, and an optional monthly care plan covers changes after launch.
What happens when a launch check fails, or when something needs to change after launch?
If one of the six checks fails, the build is not done. Mike Rodgers fixes it and runs the check again before the site goes live, and the checklist is yours to keep. Changes after launch go through the optional care plan.
What do you do with my information and my content?
What you send is used to answer your inquiry and to build your site. The site and its content are yours when it is done. Please leave out confidential client records and passwords when you write.
Who owns the site, and what if it does not work out?
You do. Nothing is billed before you approve the scope and the price in writing, and the site and its content are yours to move to any host you like.
I run a dental office. Is my site the same job as a contractor's?
The sprint has the same shape in every trade: Redesign Brief, Message Rewrite, Design System, Full Build, Launch Checklist. Only the job of the site changes. A contractor needs service area and past jobs on the page. A clinic needs hours and insurance questions answered. A firm needs fees and intake explained. A shop needs what it sells and how to buy it.
Is there a smaller way to start than a full rebuild?
Yes: the $3,500 One-Workflow Review. $3,500 fixed fee, with a written readout within ten business days after required access. The readout stands on its own: it is yours to use with any vendor or with your own team, and it is not credited against a build. If the readout points at a rebuild, the build is quoted on its own from what the readout says to change first.
